  We arrived and were walked to the beach to get on the catamaran and it was simple to get in. We were welcome to purchase a beverage at the bar and Lord Awesome made a great cocktail. The snorkel equipment we were issued was up to date and very comfortable. We were pleased to have quality mask, fins and snorkels available. We saw so many turtles and the whole group was very respectful. One of our friends did not get in the water but because the catamaran anchored closet the reef we could pop our heads up and chat. After the snorkel we had a lovely sail with more beverages to purchase (the price was really fair) and a variety of free snacks. The staff was incredible in and out of the water. They were fun and safe; and very personable. All of the safety instructions were clear and easy to follow. I can't believe how lucky we were to have such a wonderful crew. I don't have words for how much they made a difference for the trip! Tons of fun! We will definitely book with them again. We booked at 1am and the crew knew we were the last minute booking. That recognition made the trip even more fun. We were so lucky to get spots, so book early. We've been to Hawaii before and don't normally take tours, but they were perfect!

  Great snorkeling with the turtles. The turtles were so cool. We really liked the turtles. Turtles turtles

  What a cool experience! We saw 4 sea turtles on ours. The crew was awesome and did an excellent job on the water.

  We were on this tour with a group of 13 rowdy 20-somethings and an older family group of 3 (we were also a group of 3 - husband, me, cousin). We are locals half the year but I like to go on these things so I know what to recommend to visitors. The crew was excellent - amazing customer service and a crew member always in the water to keep an eye on people and point out turtles surfacing. The boat is immaculately clean and they have plenty of snacks (free) and drinks (for purchase). There is lots of space to social distance. What we did NOT enjoy about the cruise was the other customers - the group of 13 was obnoxious and threw litter and snacks in the water. I yelled at them from the water and eventually they stopped, but claimed they were "feeding" the turtles. I feel like the fact that the turtles are protected was explained, but that the crew did not ensure everyone was listening and understood this clearly. There should be consequences to tourists for this kind of terrible behavior. The crew did not reprimand the tourists (that I could hear) but I think they should have. Furthermore, although Holokai provides reef safe sunscreen for FREE, they said they "can't make you use it," so the tourists used what they had brought and it was NOT reef safe. We were swimming directly over a reef on this outing. I think that the environment and conservation should outweigh tourist money/tourist entitlement, and since Holokai is a private company, they COULD require the use of reef safe sunscreen. If there is no more reef, there will be no more snorkeling outings, so honestly it would be in their best interest to do this. I know that during covid, business is really tough for Hawaii and it is also shoulder season and naturally slower. But Hawaii's beauty is worth protecting and I think more could be done to educate the tourists and encourage them to behave properly and appropriately. Because tourists are not entirely within the company's control, I am still giving 4 stars, but as a company there are things you can do to improve this, and that is my reason for docking one star.

  This was so amazing, the guides were so friendly and really made the adventure even better. The snorkeling was great but the sailing around was so much fun. Everyone was smiling.

  Can't go wrong on a catamaran. Saw lots of turtles and beautiful fish. Crew was fun and very thoughtful of passengers. Had a great time!

  The crew was over the top nice, and we had such a great time! I’m 6mo pregnant and we also brought our two year old daughter. The water was too rough for her to jump in during the snorkeling part, but my husband and I just took turns getting in the water and it worked out great. Highly recommended!

  This was an excellent experience, and by far the best activity we have done while in Oahu! We chose the Holokai Turtle Canyon Snorkel adventure the day that we booked it and were very surprised there was availability! It was highly recommended online, and after reading reviews we decided it sounded like an awesome time. I wanted to go snorkeling, and my grandma wanted to go on a boat and see the Waikiki shoreline, dolphins and Diamond head so it was perfect. From start to finish the crew and workers couldn't have been any nicer. My grandma needs a little bit of extra time to walk, and the girl who checked us in hung back and walked with us to make sure we knew where we were going. When we got to the boat the crew came out and each allowed my grandma to hang on to their big strong arms to get her over the sand to the boat, and up the stairs safely. They joked the whole time and made everyone feel super comfortable, and the experience of seeing three turtles and whole schools of fish swim underneath us while we were snorkeling was incredible. I've never seen anything like it in such beautiful clear blue waters and I likely never will! On board they had a house drink "hooch" which came with a signature shaker and it was delicious and reasonably priced! They played native music to the islands the whole time and it felt like it was a party while we were on the boat. On the way back to shore, after the crew made sure to get EVERYONE on board soaked from the high waves, we were greeted by a pod of dolphins showing off for us! They were jumping out of the water and swimming just beneath the boat, and I was able to lay on the 'sun-tan' nets and get video of the entire encounter. It was amazing to see how playful they were. All in all I would recommend this cruise to everyone and anyone who's looking for a little adventure in Oahu. It was out of this world and I could not be happier that we found them! Mahalo to the crew for everything and we can't wait to come back and see you again for $3 refils for life! (We're holding you to that!)

  The crew was very knowledgeable and fun! They kept a watchful eye on everyone and were more than willing to give extra attention to those that felt a bit uneasy. The ride out is very quick and just off of Waikiki beach. There are other operators with groups at the same spot but not so many that you feel crowded. We saw turtles, beautiful fish and were lucky enough to see a pod of dolphins. Once we were done snorkeling (could you ever really be done snorkeling in Hawaii!) the crew took us on a fun sail to Diamond Head. There is a bar for those who want to imbibe after your snorkel and the prices are fair. I would highly recommend.

  Excellent experience. Knowledge crew, service was awesome, drinks were great. Saw lots of turtles! Cruising around after the snorkel was lovely, great diamond head picture opportunity. Highly recommend this tour!
