I had used Ghost City Tours in many cities and LOVE them. However, this time around I arrived for my tour at the front of the Texas Capital and not one person showed up. I called after waiting for 30 minutes and they said that our tour guide was in traffic but they could no longer get in touch with them. Super weird since they are always so well organized. The tour was canceled with no notice. Then, they booked us on the murder (adults only) tour that was an hour later. Our tour guide was late and super flustered. She was not engaging and the stories were too brutal. Everyone on the tour looked extremely bored and miserable. Us, along with a group of 4 others wound up leaving halfway through. To Ghost City Tours credit, I did call and explain that I did not like the tour and they got me on a new one in San Antonio the next night that was awesome!

Our guide was 20 minutes late. Hard to hear since she talked too fast and voice too high pitched. Nothing “haunted” about her performance. Very disappointed since it seemed more historical than haunting.

Bug was an awesome host! Bug made us laugh, gave clear walking instructions, kept us from falling into a weird hole in the sidewalk, and told great stories. Overall an amazing experience.

Our guide, Bug, greeted us when we arrived and was very funny, personable and entertaining as she led our group through the tour. Be sure to bring water with you and be prepared to walk/stand the entire tour. The tour was super interesting and a lot of fun to hear some spooky history of Austin. The highlight of the tour was stepping inside the Driskill hotel and learning about the ghosts that live there, our least favorite part was that some spots on the tour were just dark history of Austin and gruesome murders — not ghosties but still interesting. Overall a great time! I would recommend reaching out to the tour ahead of time to see where the tour ends so you can maybe park there to avoid a long walk to your vehicle.

Rachel was great, very knowledgeable and a fantastic speaker. The only recommendation is that participants need a more specific location given in the confirmation email as the state capitol grounds are very large.

I really enjoyed the tour and all the info. The only issue I had is that our guide, Bug, kept flipping off the drivers who were honking, several times throughout the tour. She flipped off a Fire truck who was honking at another car who needed to move out of the street. Her attitude was slightly annoying, as she seemed to be annoyed by her surroundings.

Our host Rachel was friendly and very informative. We learned a lot about Austin history and architecture, not just ghosts!

There's more than just a few ghost stories on this tour. Rachel has lots of historical information about Austin & the buildings that house these stories. My boys & I were informed as well as entertained. Thank you again Rachel for our tour.

Our tour guide did a great job going in depth of every stops history and their ghosts. Learned a lot about Austin’s history too. 10/10 would recommend.
