Our experience was great and we really enjoyed our tour guide, Natalie. She knew a lot about the area and brought us to a “secret” beach at the end of it to relax by the water. I do recommend planning this your first or second day in Hawaii. That way if you drive past anything you want to check out, you still have time because you do drive by a lot of cool places.

Excellent tour. Loved the waterfall hike at Manoa Falls and the beach at Blowhole lookout. Our guide, Natalie, was very nice and provided a lot of information about the island as we drove around from place to place. This was our first visit to Hawaii and we are glad we took this tour to learn our way around the island. Would definitely recommend!

Out of all the many times I’ve traveled to the islands I have never hired an actual tour guide. Today my daughter and I booked a tour and hike to the waterfalls with Shamus. He arrived promptly and was very professional but very funny and entertaining. He was a wealth of knowledge about the island and shared really interesting facts and history with us that I’ve never known in all the years. It was so great to see the island from a local perspective. We ended the day at the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen. Would highly recommend this tour company and requesting Shamus.

Seamus is a very good storyteller. I was captivated by his story about the island and the background about the hike we were doing. I don’t think it was worth $150 for what we did. We were picked up slightly after 9am at our hotel and got back around 4pm. We did a 1.4 mile hike during the first half of the tour. We were contacted via text the day before but I wish they provided more accurate information to help us wear appropriate shoes. Something like below would more helpful: “Pickups for the tour will begin at 9am. Please give us time to get there, for, we have other parties to pickup before hand. The driver will step outside and call your name. He will contact you when he can’t find you. Please bring cash for lunch, a towel and wear your swimsuits under your regular clothes. Sunblock. You will be stepping in streams and other bodies of water so wear shoes you’re comfortable walking in as well as getting wet and dirty. Chaco like sandals and footwear would be sufficient. Sneakers and running shoes are fine too if you’re ok getting them wet and dirty.” Posting this information on the website during tour booking would also be very helpful as my husband and I packed real hiking shoes for this but ended up changing them out and hiking in our sandals. Hiking in sandals were ok until the end where I bumped into a stump in the middle of the trail and hurt my toe pretty badly that it hurt for a couple weeks. The hiking shoes took up precious packing space in our luggage. We were taken to a Mexican restaurant after the hike and ordered our own lunch. Then we were driven to a nice beach. It was beautiful but the waves were strong, which was good if we had surf boards or body boards. Seamus gave us beach chairs which were useful but a beach umbrella and/or body boards would be even better. It showered off and on during our 2-3 hour there and there were very limited natural tree shade. I was expecting more for having paid $150 each for myself and my husband but it was one 1.4 mile hike and then left at the beach for 2-3 hours on our own. The itinerary should be embellished to include more or the price decreased to better reflect what is included. For comparison, I went on a circle tour for 8 hours and it was $99 per person with entrance pass included.

We had the absolute best day hiking to beautiful Lalumha waterfall! It has just rained so the falls were flowing! Our guide Sheamus was the best! He got us safely to the waterfall and took so many great pictures of my fiancé and I under the falls!! Then he brought us to grab food before spending the rest of the day at beautiful Kailua beach. He dropped us off and we got to spend a few hours relaxing and enjoying the views from the beach! We would definitely recommend this excursion to family and friends visiting Hawaii!!

We had the absolute best time with “Uncle Shamus!” Not only was he lively and engaging the entire hike, he also taught us so much about the land and history of Hawaiian culture. The scenery was beautiful and we very much enjoyed the company! The lunch spot and beach chosen were also perfect. Highly recommend this tour!

Aloha. This was my first hike ever. It was kind of tough, but worth it. Shamus was the guide for me and another lady. I was happy that I wouldn't be doing it alone. Shamus was great, very friendly, personable. He took our pics for us. With me being a first timer, we took our time with plenty of breaks. He was also the perfect gentleman & assisted me down the steps. Lunch was ok. I expected more, like popular, local, Hawaiian food. The beach was absolutely awesome!!! And well worth the hike. Shamus provided beach chairs. It wasn't crowded. The water was beautiful. I would definitely recommend this tour to others. Mahalo.

Absolutely stunning hike! We did Manoa and took our 5 year old and it was challenging but easy enough for a family to compete together. Seamus was an amazing wealth of knowledge and was gracious and helpful!! The best! I've been all around the world and the Kailua beach was the best beach I've ever seen. Just like a postcard! Stunning beautiful, family friendly, and we saw 6 sea turtles. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone, especially families with small children!
